Heathrow Country Club is looking for a part time Fitness Attendant. Please review the qualifications before applying.
Fitness Responsibilities:
- Verify membership/ID to confirm membership and age.
- Enforce established policies and procedures diligently.
- Promote a secure workout environment through continuous monitoring of the gym area.
- Offer expertise on fitness equipment, ensuring members’ confidence and optimal performance.
- Maintain pristine conditions on the fitness floor, equipment is sanitized, and ensure weights are organized.
- Ensure proper arrangement of weight benches and machines.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in the fitness center and bathrooms through thorough cleaning and restocking supplies.
- Manage laundry tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrate swift action in emergencies, following protocol with precision.
- Promptly report incidents of injury, theft, damage, or equipment malfunction to the supervisory team.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Foster clear communication with the Fitness Director and Supervisors and diligently fulfill assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- One Year of Customer Service Experience Required.
- Experience in a Fitness Center Setting Preferred.
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications Required.
Must be available to work morning and afternoon shifts.
Weekends are required.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Requires the ability to safely lift items up to 30 pounds.
- Continuous walking and standing.
- Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, and repetitive actions.
- Be physically able to reach, bend, and stoop.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective in listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by members, guests, and team members.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed in an indoor/outdoor setting, busy and noisy environment.
- Some varied weather conditions are expected with exposure to heat/humidity, or cool/cold weather.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
